Jim is an industry professional and has been teaching the craft of acting across the country for over ten years. In this four-hour, intensive workshop he will discuss self tape auditions, representation and casting, film and stage acting comparisons, and an industry Q&A. BIO:
Jim Dougherty is a character actor who studied theatre and film at Indiana University. In 2016 Jim moved to Atlanta to work in the growing entertainment industry as an actor, editor, DP and instructor. Jim has over 60 acting credits across a wide range of features and television shows including work for Marvel, ABC, Netflix, CBS, NBC NatGeo, Discovery Channel, and the SciFi Network. He founded the Indy Actors Academy in 2011 to fill a gap in teaching craft and the business of acting across the South and mid-west.
