Registration is required. Fancy dress is encouraged.
Flores de Mayo, or Flowers of May, is celebrated widely across the Philippines in the month of May to show devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Filipinos gather to feast, perform cultural dances, and parade in colourful ensembles.
Girlynne Gascon is a member of the Philippine Association of Saskatchewan and the Philippine Artists' Circle. At the age of fourteen she immigrated to Canada with her family from La Union, Philippines . Girlynne has gone on to receive her BA Psychology degree in University of Regina in 2020. In her spare time she enjoys creating art and was just involved in producing linocut prints to serve as commemorative artwork for the Philippine Madrigal Singers' performance in late April.
