Formed in 2011, Filiband is a multicultural collective that continues to evolve, both in sound and lineup. For this special concert, seven musicians from Luxembourg, France, and Burkina Faso will take the stage to deliver a powerful and heartfelt performance. Blending Funk, Blues, Afro-reggae, World Music, and Rock, Filiband invites you on a vibrant musical journey. Their new album Vise loin, released in March 2025, tackles themes such as health, global crises, and the human richness of Africa. With instruments like the African kora, guitar, saxophone, keyboard, bass, and drums, the band builds bridges between cultures through rhythm and soul. In May 2025, Filiband was awarded a Marley d’Or in Burkina Faso for their song Farafina.
Plácido Vaz
For fans of Mario Lucio, Mayra Andrade, Elida Almeida, Bonga
Plácido Vaz, Cape Verdean singer-songwriter. The new wave of artists who represent the traditional music of the Islands with its diversity of genres and histories. He has been making music since 2013 and in 2022 his first album of originals. Plácido has already participated in several festivals here in Luxembourg and intends to expand to other markets and audiences.

The Rocklab Live Sessions are filmed showcases by local bands & artists. Their aim is to promote and document the ever-growing number and diversity of artists from the local music scene, by offering them a stage, regardless of music genre, age and experience. A selection of songs from each showcase will be released digitally later on, to reach a larger audience and provide the artists with a quality live video.
