Easter is a time for new beginnings, and on Tuesday 22nd April we are inviting young ones to try their hand at a new skill – making their very own figolla and decorating an Easter chocolate egg!Participants will enjoy this hands-on activity against the fascinating backdrop of the Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu. Under expert guidance, they will learn how to make the beloved figolla – the undisputed queen of Maltese traditional Easter sweets, and one of the most delicious concoctions in our cuisine.
While the sweet, almondy scent of the baking figolli fills the air, participants will craft their own Easter eggs using a variety of materials and techniques to bring their designs to life, after they are shown the process of chocolate egg making.
Aimed at children aged 7 and older, this fun and festive activity is a great way to celebrate tradition whilst providing an outlet for artistic expression!
Two sessions will be held – one from 11.30 am till 1.30 pm and another one from 2.30 pm till 4.30 pm. Tickets cost €30 each and include one adult accompanying each child participating in the event.
Please note that this activity involves exposure to potential allergens, including milk, nuts, eggs, and gluten. We advise participants with allergies to consider this information when registering for the workshop.
Participants should bring their own container to take their delicious creations home with them.
