For our second Fifth and Clark Friday's Concert of 2025, the Auditorium will host two multi-talented Des Moines based Artists. This show will kick off at 7:00pm with Patricia Holly, followed by Abbie Sawyer. The Auditorium lobby will open at 6:00pm, and doors into the theater will open at 6:30. All our Fifth and Clark Friday's concerts will now have beer, wine, soft drinks, and concessions for sale during the events. Admission for these events is $5 and students can get 2-for-1 admission by showing their student ID's at the door!Patricia is a Singer/Songwriter from Des Moines, Iowa. Her passion for singing was born from listening to her oldest sister writing original music, while her appreciation for Jazz and Big-band music came from listening to Frank Sinatra as a child with her father. Love of jazz continued into her teens being exposed to vintage 40's music while playing the game Fallout. She mixed in her midwestern country roots to create a style all her own.
Abbie Sawyer is a multi-genre Iowa musician, performer, and songwriter who embraces audiences with mesmerizing warmth, soul-stirring lyrics, and heartfelt delivery. She performs with four Iowa bands in addition to her solo work, with a sonic range from retro soul to New Orleans jazz, Americana and women-led Folk.
As a life-long performer and musician, Abbie has curated a deeply-felt, intimate style using her acoustic guitar, voice, and original music, bringing warmth and wonder to her performances.
These events are supported with a generous grant from The Iowa Arts Council and the Iowa Economic Development Authority with support from The National Endowment for the Arts!
