Women make up half the population, yet their stories have often been neglected, excluded, or marginalized in public memory. West Chester, long the center of battles for equality and civil rights, was home to several trailblazing women who left an indelible mark on the history of law, abolition, suffrage, education, politics and science. This 1.5 hour walking tour will visit the homes and businesses of the women that shaped West Chester from colonial times to the present.Tour covers approximately 1.5 miles and lasts 90 minutes. Tour is entirely outdoors; sidewalks and terrain may be uneven. Event is rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Service dogs are welcome; pets are not permitted on our public walking tours.
Tickets are $16.00 (members of CCHC receive 20% discount with code.) Once purchased, tickets are NONREFUNDABLE and your admission fee supports the educational mission of the Chester County History Center. Thank you!
