BOH Field Trip | Tribeca Gallery Tour with Mason Lane Art Advisory
For designers interested in learning more about the art world and sourcing art for clients, Business of Home, in collaboration with Mason Lane Art Advisory, is excited to offer an Insiders-only field trip to check out some of the best art galleries in Tribeca. Katharine Earnhardt, founder of Mason Lane, will lead the group through four galleries, introducing participants to new artists, as well as gallery directors and useful resources. Acclaimed for her engaging, transparent approach to the sometimes mysterious art market, Earnhardt will share the stories behind select artworks, explain how to identify quality, define what drives value, and discuss why individuals connect with specific pieces. About Katharine Earnhardt:
Through 15 years of experience in the New York and London art worlds, Katharine Earnhardt has cultivated an in-depth knowledge of the market and an aptitude for refining clients’ tastes. With a dual degree in art history and economics from Williams College and a master’s in art business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, she has conducted extensive research on art valuation and investment, and her curriculum vitae includes positions at notable institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, Christie’s and Gurr Johns. Known for her approachability, transparency and discerning eye, Earnhardt instills trust and confidence in her clients. She leads classes and speaks frequently on the market, educating designers and other creative professionals about sourcing and acquiring art.
