Join us in Lancashire at 2 great habitats. The woodland and wetland habitats at Mere Sands Wood, run by the Lancashire, Manchester & North Merseyside Wildlife Trust, have created a rich and diverse environment for both resident and migratory birds, providing ample opportunities for birdwatchers to observe various waterfowl and woodland species.RSPB Marshside is a mix of salt marsh and freshwater pools. Mudflats provide a rich feeding ground for many birds. Birds to see include waders, waterfowl, passerines, the odd raptor and possibly a migratory bird.

Car park fee: Mere Sands Wood, £4. Marshside is free for RSPB members; otherwise, £3.00 for over 2 hours.
Sensible footwear and appropriate clothing should be worn.
Location: Meet at the Sainsbury end of Caldy Valley church car park, Caldy Valley Road, Chester CH3 5PR. for car sharing.
