Welcome to Field of View: A 360° Film Festival!
The Institute for Applied Creativity (IAC) and College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts (PVFA) present Field of View, Texas A&M University’s inaugural 360 virtual reality (VR) film festival, running December 2-7, 2024.
The IAC and PVFA invite the community to join them for a week of immersive film screenings and interactive events held inside the Igloo, a state-of-the-art space that can project videos in a full 360° around the viewer. Enter an immersive storytelling experience, showcasing 23 juried films hailing from 12 countries. Field of View provides a platform for groundbreaking work that pushes the boundaries of creativity and technology, in addition to providing the community with a myriad of creative, interactive events.

Field of View showcases invited works by some of the world’s most influential contributors to 360 video. The festival’s five screening lineups (Winners, Educational, Invention, Embodiment, and The Surreal) span genres ranging from narrative to experimental, screendance to animation.
Texas A&M’s Igloo is located on the 4th floor of Architecture Building C (ARCC) and is accessible via elevator. Additional 360 works will be presented via VR headsets. All activities are open to the public; visitors are encouraged to attend multiple events throughout the festival.
