Join Trekkers for an evening of reflection, laughter, and community storytelling at Field Notes from My Younger Self—a night inspired by the beloved podcast, Grown Ups Read Things They Wrote as Kids.In this cozy community event at Rock City Café, Trekkers alumni will take the stage to share excerpts from the journals they kept during their Trekkers years—a tradition that’s been at the heart of our program since day one. Journaling has long helped our students reflect, process experiences, and connect with themselves and each other in meaningful ways.
After the alumni readings, we’ll open the mic for a community storytelling session, inviting audience members to share entries, poems, or letters from their own teenage years. Expect laughter, a few tears, and a lot of heart.
Free and open to the public.
Hot chocolate will be provided by our friends at Rock City Café, with baked goods donated by local community members.
