Have you ever wanted to write the “Great American Novel,” and haven’t gotten there yet? Well, Fiction 440 can’t guarantee you’ll ever get there, but it is an enjoyable way to practice creating, writing and honing a story down to its fundamental essence, as long as the essence is no more that 440 words.If you are not familiar with Fiction 440, we are a gathering of short fiction writers. Usually there are 3 words supplied that are writing prompts and must be included in the text. The stories should be fiction (after all, it is the name).
The next event is Tuesday November 18th. The writing prompts are Waltz, Filament and Crime. If you don’t like to write stories, but do like to listen to stories, you are welcome to come. People begin to arrive at 5:30 for a chance to get something to eat, something to drink, and a chance to socialize. Stories begin at 6:30.
