The newly formed Fiato Ensemble will be playing a suite of original compositions called “Places in Sheppey” written by local composer John Pell, inspired by browsing old maps. The group will also be performing two of their own percussive compositions inspired by a day at the beach and ‘why Sheppey is a unique place to live’.
The musicians were brought together by playing at the Kent Music - Sheppey Music Centre and consists of Helen and Shannon Bridger-Smart on flutes, Oscar Cole on violin, Charlotte and Thomas Friday on Alto sax, and Andy Friday on Baritone sax.
