About this Event

These bi-monthly Filmmakers Mixers are hosted by The Discover Indie Film Foundation, the non-profit behind two of the L.A. area's best reviewed film festivals, Sherman Oaks Film Festival (SOFF - https://filmfreeway.com/shermanoaksfilmfest) and Film Invasion Los Angeles (FILA - https://filmfreeway.com/filminvasionla). Both festivals are regularly on FilmFreeway's Top 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals list. Out of 14,000 festivals worldwide, both FI-LA and SOFF are in the Top 100! Come out and meet like-minded filmmakers and make worthwhile connections!

The backstory....

Filmmakers kept telling our team at the FI-LA/SOFF festival mixers, "We love the mixers at your festivals. Why not hold them throughout the year?" We said no... until those filmmakers offered to form a "Mixers Committee" to plan them out. We launched the Monthly Mixers in August 2023 and they've been a blast!

Originally our mixers were free, just as they are at our festivals, but we are now charging $5 per ticket BUT every person who purchases a ticket and checks-in at the event will get a discount code that will get them $5 off tickets to both film festivals and $5 off the entry fee to both film festivals. Your $5 ticket gets you unlimited discounts to two of L.A.'s highest rated film festivals. A fair deal, especially when you consider that your $5 goes to a non-profit that is devoted to indie filmmakers.
