We invite you to join us this weekend in the Cleaning up the Capital event on May 11, 2024. Volunteers are to gather at one of the six parks: Fisher Heights, Steve MacLean, Parthia, Eleanor Park, Trillium, Gilbey Park from 9:30AM-11:00AM where cleaning supplies (garbage bags, disposable gloves and recycling bags) and refreshments will be provided through a park captain.Participants should be wearing gloves, bring a rake, pruners or clippers if available, and dress for the weather. The goal is to clean up garbage located in the park and pick up broken branches. Fallen leaves are to remain and not be picked up.
We are still looking for more interested residents to serve as park captains. Please email co-ordinator Luigi Mangone at [email protected]. The rain-date is scheduled for May 18th, 2024, an update will be sent Friday May 10th, 2024 by email.
