Hello everyone!On the first Friday of every month we will be dancing fusion to our heart's content from 8:00PM to 1:00AM. Our event will start with an hour class from 8:00PM to 9:00PM with an instructor every month, followed by social dancing from 9:00PM to 1:00AM. We will have three DJs throughout the night, bringing you a variety of music to dance to. Our venue, Centro Cultural de la Raza, has free parking across the street, beautiful wood floors, and a great atmosphere.
Here's our instructor and DJ lineup for the next First Friday Fusion!
8:00pm-9:00pm: Audrey Pazmino
Audrey values building tools for connecting playfully with people from all dance backgrounds and experience levels. She grew up dancing socially with family members of all ages, sizes, and skill levels at family events then began formally studying Salsa, Bachata, Lindy Hop, Blues, and Argentine Tango in 2011. Over the years she has also played with West Coast Swing and a little Kizomba. Audrey loves to foster connection and play with dance partners by expanding our dance movement vocabulary and finding ways to meet each other wherever we are at the moment.
9:00pm-11:00pm: Carlee Krichmar
I found fusion dancing about eight years ago and came to find that it feeds my soul. My set is created with the intention of feeding yours, tapping into your flow state, and channeling your inner god and goddess.
10:20pm-12:00 am: DJ Arman Khodaei! Arman loves music that takes dancers on a journey. He is drawn to tracks that keep the dancer engaged with the music with slow-build ups, unexpected twists, and big payoffs.
11:40pm-1:00am: Maddy Tidan
After several years having participated in many theatrical productions and cast mostly in dancer roles, Maddy twirled into the world of Fusion dance in 2019. Fast forward to 2023, Maddy, for her debut year as a DJ, has designed every one of her sets to feature a cinematic sound with a note of playfulness. Her ultimate goal with these sets is twofold: for the dancers to have fun on the dance floor, and for each of them to bring a tune or two to hum when they exit it, you know, much like when one goes to watch an impactful play or film.
In an attempt to incentivize more people to attend the classes, we are offering $10 entry for BOTH the lesson and social dance. After 9:00pm, the entry will be $12 for just the social dance.

$15 after 9pm
