Join the InColchester team as we welcome a magical festive light parade to turn on the Christmas lights throughout the city centre! The parade will start at the Mercury Theatre, move along the High Street (which will be closed to traffic), and finish at Firstsite which will be open into the evening with a programme of activities, entertainment, and films for all the family to enjoy. Colchester's Christmas lights will spring to life as the parade passes them.
Come wearing your most vibrant, christmassy outfits, bring homemade lanterns and lights to help light up the parade route and welcome the performers and giant puppets and they make their way through the city centre.
More entertainment and family activities will also follow at Lion Walk Shopping centre with their light switch on event.
