Festival opening evening - All welcome“Variables IV” Art Exhibition, MyPlace Midleton, Friday 24th May, 7pm, FREE ENTRY
Variables IV is the annual highlight exhibition of the festival. Consisting of three professional artists from the East Cork area. This year promises another spectacular exhibition. Featuring paintings from Niall McCarthy, photography from Janet Turra and ceramics from Susan Herlihy.
Curated by Danny McCarthy and including his own sound
photography and performance installation, ‘Healing Memories Walking on Water’.
It will be opened by Dr Michael Waldron Curator, Crawford Gallery Cork.
Also featuring visuals from ‘Train of Broken Light’, a short film film will screen with audio over the weekend.
We are also proud to present ‘Hands’, an exhibition made with residents of Glendonagh Residential Home with Belinda Walsh, Lucia Parle and photographs by Aoife Batt,
CBS Primary School Art Exhibition PLUS! a live rap performance about climate change.
‘Frazzled Mammy’ Art Children’s Art Exhibition with Maeve O’Keeffe
A Tiny Books exhibition with The Sister Hub and SECAD partnership.
Live music from the Midleton Concert Band and refreshments to enjoy.
