****EVENT POSTPONED FOR NOW*****We’ve made the decision to cancel/postpone our event in November so just wanting to give the heads up before anyone books flight/accom makes plans etc.
The venue we wanted to hold the event at is quite expensive for accomodation options and is in a bit of a tricky location and with lots of friends and family coming from interstate it feels like too big of an ask for you all to pay that kinda expense on top of flights etc.
Our chosen venue also requires a large number of guests locked in to secure the facilities and with the response we received we can’t really confirm that we could meet that target or meet the vision of the event that we had in mind, so think it’s best to postpone for now.

Andi and I would love to invite you join us for an event like no other…. This is going to be a family friendly festival style event in an incredible location very dear to us in FNQ.
It’s a hard event to define…. it’s kind of a mashup of Mel’s 40th birthday celebrations/ an informal ceremony/ one helluva damn good party
But it’s also more than that….
We’re envisioning a celebration of our 3 beautiful children and the blending of our families, a business launch, a gathering of people we love and who love us… but that is only the beginning..
We not only want to celebrate us and our love, but to celebrate the special people in our lives that we care about too….
We wanna extend the invitation out to any family/friends who have something in life they wanna celebrate and to gather to honour those moments as well.
Those who know Mel well would know that over the past 2 years her best friend has defied the odds and is kicking ass against stage 4 melanoma.
Having your best friend be given a death sentence and beat it is a damn good reminder of how precious life can be & how easy it can also be to take it for granted.
What point is it waiting for the people we adore to leave this earth to gather together and honour and share all the things we love about them??
So with this in mind we wanna take the opportunity to gather as many amazing humans that we care about together …
To eat good food, listen to good music, dance, sing, connect to nature, share stories, make new friendships or solidify old ones.
We wanna bring our children & families & friends together and all connect and have the biggest, bestest, loudest time together.
Our aim is to make 2024 a year of community and connection and to make a conscious effort to really celebrate & honour this beautiful thing we call life ✨
The venue we have chosen is nestled in 165 acres of tropical rainforest just outside the village of Kuranda .
It’s 30 minutes from Cairns and close by to the beautiful Atherton tablelands. They offer accomodation ranging from unpowered camp sites to dorm style rooms to cabins.
There will be food trucks & long tables & bar facilities & live music …
But also If you’re a musician & have an instrument and wanna jam please bring it along, if you’re a DJ and wanna jump on the decks or pre-record a set please do , if you’re an artist and you wanna create something to contribute to decor we’d love that, but also…. If you wanna just come along and be part of an amazing event in an incredible setting we’d really just love to have you there ❤️
