Festival of Lanterns is an evening for healing, hope and happiness for our community, family, and friends. Register to launch a floating lantern in memory or in honor of a loved one. Join us for an evening of healing and reflection, remembering the past and embracing the future. Enjoy a night of positive, uplifting community Joy and Love while we pray and worship together before launching our lanterns.
All proceeds from this event go to help Cassidy's Christmas Blessing Program. The Christmas Blessings program helps families in our community to celebrate Christmas. Our goal with this program is to build a relationship with participating families and give support, love, and growth. Christmas Blessings is designed to give these family a support person, a friend, a church family and show them love and grace. We attempt to connect each family with helpful resources in our community from educational, jobs and support system to help them to set and achieve life goals.
October 26th, 2024 on Duck Island at Warriors Path State Park
Festival of Lanterns Schedule:
Lantern decoration will be 5pm to 6pm in the recreation building on Duck Island.
A worship and prayer service will follow from 6pm to 7pm.
The lantern launch will begin at 7pm with a time of reflection from 7pm to 7:45pm.
Clean up will be from 8pm to 9pm.
Note: Be sure to bring a chair or blanket and wear suitable dress and footwear.
Please register for this event at www.cassidymethodistchurch.org\lanterns and make sure to complete the checkout process to submit your lantern donations and reserve your lantern. We want to make sure we have enough lanterns for everyone to participate.
