Celebrate the ancient Festival of Imbolc at Avalon Archaeology!Drop in throughout the day for family-friendly crafts; weave a Brigid Cross made of rushes and reeds to take home and discover ancient ways of making fire.
The day will end with stories in the Longhall and a closing ceremony to welcome back the light.
Imbolc, celebrated on February 1st or 2nd, marks the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It’s a time to celebrate the return of light and the first signs of spring. Imbolc is also known as Saint Brigid’s Day.
Drop in, normal admission applies.
