About this Event
The Festival of Dreams is returning to the colorful Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (SantaCruzMAH.org) in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz. We will bring together dreamers from all around northern California as well as further afield. Our goal is to inspire all attendees to connect to the power of their nighttime dreams and also to learn about and meet folks involved with the International Association for the Study of Dreams (find the IASD at ASDreams.org) which is a rich resource for those who want to deepen their understanding of dreams.
The Festival of Dreams is an ongoing Santa Cruz experience now in its fourth incarnation. We are proud to again be partnering with the IASD as a California Regional Event. It is not necessary for you to be an IASD member to attend, but you do get a discout!!
This year, the Festival of Dreams kicks off Friday at 3pm, October 10, with community events, an opening circle, our first round of presentations, and art opportunities. Friday evening ends with a no-host networking reception to unwind and chat with fellow dreamies.
Saturday, October 11, is an alllllll-day event from 9:00am-10:30pm which includes presentations, workshops, and special activities including music performances, short films, and a pop-up art gallery. The day will be capped off with a keynote presentation by the fabulous Dr. Apela Colorado followed by a Dream Ball where you are invited to come dressed as a meaningful dream character. Be sure to pick a costume that includes your best dancing shoes so you can move to the live DJ beat!
On Sunday morning (not too early!), October 12, the festival concludes with a simple optional gathering to network and enjoy more of what Santa Cruz has to offer. There will be a separate fee for this part of the event: Stay tuned for details!
More information will be available soon at FestivalofDreams.net. You can also keep informed by joining our Facebook page.
