We're bringing in the warmth with a food-themed jamboree adding a bit of spice to heat up these winter months. Festa Fiesta is an exciting mix of afternoon entertainment featuring dance, cooking workshops, headdress making, art trails, performances and more. A guaranteed day of fun for all the family to keep those winter chills at bay.
The event offers attendees a high energy sensory feast, including:
Live Performances: Tropical sounds from the Pantasy Steel Band, a show-stopping performance by Ivy Aphrodite (in collaboration with Great Yarmouth and Waveney Pride), and a community carnival parade followed by a performance from The PanAfro Band/The Drum Babas
Interactive Workshops: From African Drumming with Dumisani to Zumba, Circus Skills, and Bamboo Shaker Making, there is something for everyone. The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust will also be on site with their bicycle Smoothie Machine and bicycle board games, while Bakehouse leads healthy cooking classes and a pancake race.
The "Total Crepe" Olympics: Local artist Matthew Harrison debuts a special adaptation of his acclaimed Actual Reality Arcade. "The Total Crepe Winter Olympics" will challenge participants to tackle a classic video game inspired obstacle course right on King Street.
Community Stalls including: Family Hubs, UKnow, DIAL, Cultural Connections Volunteering, Fulfilment in Nature and Freedom Leisure
Taking place at The Drill House, St George’s Plaza and King Street (128 - 145 King Street)
