Enter the world of bacteria where magic happens!
In this workshop we will learn about:
- The process of making simple vinegars and oxymels
- What is fire cider and how we can use it to support immunity
- The many benefits these foods have to offer us.
- Supporting immunity through gut health
- Troubleshooting when your ferment doesnt go so well
What is included:
- Expert knowledge and instruction
- Two 1 liter jars for elixers
- Fresh ingredients to create ferments
- Samples of elixers
Please bring:
- knife and small cutting board to prepare your ferments
- A water bottle
- camera and notepad for notes
This will be hands on as we each prepare our own liter jar of apple vinegar and 1 liter of fire cider to take home and enjoy.
This workshop takes place at a private residence close to the shed. Location will be emailed to participants before the day of the workshop.
About the instructor:
Barefoot Brian is a community herbalist, foraging guide and health coach. He was introduced to foraging over a decade ago and has been running foraging workshops in the Collingwood area since 2015. He has a strong passion for foraging, medicine making, food sourcing and preservation, the natural world and helping people connect and heal through nature.
