Saturday September 28th: 10am-4pmPopular amongst many cultures for centuries, the process of fermenting food has made a comeback. Known as a source of ‘good’ bacteria, eating fermented foods regularly may contribute to a healthy digestive system and a vibrant, well-stocked gut biome.
This workshop offers a general introduction to lacto-fermentation, including demos on how to create hassle-free ferments that you will love eating and sharing. Lacto fermentation is one of the oldest methods of fermentation, which has been gaining popularity recently because of the number of associated health benefits.
Learn about the history of and science behind fermentation and, importantly, how you can incorporate fermented foods into your diet to support wellbeing.
You’ll get to enjoy a range of tasters while Newlyn Fermentary founder, Rachel, talks you through the basics of fermentation.
Enjoy a delicious lunch, a bespoke fermentation inspired menu at Una Kitchen, and then immerse yourself in a leisurely afternoon at the Spa at Una until 16.00pm.
