The art classes are moving indoors to the Library’s Small Programming room in the Library’s Lower Level. Please take the elevator down when the library opens at 10 AM.
To be COVID safe we will leave the doors to the garden open, ask that everyone show proof of vaccination and wear a mask.
We will try to record the class but please have patience while we learn how to do this. The class will also be on ZOOM and Liz will do her best to accommodate in house students and students on Zoom.
Latin American History Month starts in September and extends into October. We will continue our discovery and exploration of the work of influential Latin artists of the 20th century.
In our first class on Oct. 6, 2021, we will be looking a the work of Ferdinand Botero. Botero was a Colombian figurative artist and sculptor. His work is highly recognizable. It depicts people and figures in large, exaggerated volume. Students will revisit the proportions of the human figure and create their own figurative drawings.
