Feral Minks:
Kitchener based rock band Feral Minks started out as a solo project during the height of the pandemic formed by lead singer and guitarist Kent Merriam.
By early 2021 he had released his first EP "Loam" under the Feral Minks moniker which caught the attention of Jay Emmons of The Glorious Sons.
Soon after they began work on Feral Minks second EP with Emmons and long time co-conspirator Steve Kirstein at the helm of production
while the Minks rounded out their lineup with seasoned veterans of the Kitchener rock scene Algernon Friolet, Jay Hogle and Ryan Whitney.
They released their second EP September 2023. Along with the release of the EP they have been booking a steady stream of tour dates in support of the release as well and getting back in the studio to record their third EP.
Flowers for Daniel:
What started out as a solo acoustic project by singer/song-writer Algernon Friolet in 2015, Flowers For Daniel has since morphed into a 5 piece alt-rock act consisting of members Jay Hogle (Bass), Cody Haché (Drums), Eric Stirtzinger (Guitar/Vocals) and Jesse Wiseman (Cello).
With this new collective, Friolet (former frontman of The Royal Streets) blends clean intros and unique verses with infectious hooks and energetic finishes. While the overall sound is a reflection of various influences within the band, fans of Friolet’s trademark vocals and playing style will not be disappointed.
After the release of their first EP “Smoke Signals” FFD has toured the country and recorded a handful of singles that have been released periodically since then. An assortment of acoustic videos can be found on YouTube and new music is to be released early 2020!
