RPM Festival, in collaboration with Non-Event, is thrilled to present "Feng + Ge," an immersive exploration of Chinese sonic avant-garde art. This unique event features groundbreaking performances by Feng Jiangzhou and Weilu Ge, showcasing their innovative use of field recordings, electronic beats, and abstract visual effects. The performance will transform the Mezzanine of Boston City Hall into a multisensory experience using spatial surround sound and projection mapping on two concrete surfaces.

Artists:

  • Feng Jiangzhou: A pioneering electronic artist known for his work in new media, sound art, installation art, film scores, and stage design. Feng was the lead singer of the Fly Band and is a key figure in the development of electronic music in China.
  • Weilu Ge: A Cambridge-based composer and media artist specializing in experimental music, installation, and performance. Her work explores the intersection of sound, space, and technology, addressing social, cultural, and technological themes through innovative and intermedia theatre.
