Feminist Placemaking Academy – Mexico City, October 29–30

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Feminist Placemaking Academy this October in Mexico City, curated by The Gendered City and hosted by Placemaking Mexico at their Roma office (CDMX).

Over the course of two immersive days, participants will engage in learning, exchange, and practice with Dr. Nourhan Bassam—feminist urbanist, founder & CEO of The Gendered City, and initiator of the world’s largest feminist design network.

• Feminist urban analysis tools to diagnose the built environment
  
• Gender-sensitive design approaches for inclusive spaces
  
• Hands-on mapping using the Feminist Street Scanner, developed by The Gendered City
  
• Feminist assessment methods for urban environments
  
• Radical participation frameworks for reimagining cities
  

Global case studies, with a special focus on the Mexican urban context and its challenges.
By the end of the program, participants will be certified as Feminist Placemakers LEVEL ONE, equipped with practical tools, methods, and a global-local perspective to transform their own cities.
