About this Event
To celebrate Feminist Book Fortnight, we've bought together two authors of feminist thriller to discuss their books.
Julie Cohen’s award-winning, bestselling novels have sold over a million copies worldwide. She is a popular teacher of creative writing, a Vice-President of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, and founded the RNA Rainbow Chapter for LGBTQ+ writers. Her latest novel BAD MEN was described as a feminist rage read and did not disappoint. Saffy Huntley-Oliver is the most likeable serial killer ever. Who can’t fail to love someone who kills bad men.
Local author Araminta Hall has worked as a writer, journalist and teacher. Her first novel, Everything & Nothing, was published in 2011 and became a Richard & Judy read that year. Her second, Dot, was published in 2013.
Her newest novel, One of the Good Guys, was published earlier this year and has everything you need to keep you engrossed - characters you love and love to shout at, a plot with plenty of surprises to keep you guessing and a topic - violence against women - which will mean you have to buy copies for all your girlfriends just so you can discuss it with them.
Join Cathy Hayward in conversation with Araminta and Julie.
All our events are free to make them as inclusive as possible But we're experiencing an increasing number of no-shows which is difficult for us as a bookshop and disappointing for the author. Please only sign up if you intend coming and do let us know if you can't make it for whatever reason. Thank you.
