About this Event
Artists will learn about Mary Ann Willson and create one of a kind mosaics, inspired by her infamous mermaid.
Students should come dressed comfortably, in clothing they do not mind potentially getting supplies on. Aprons will be provided, but do not always cover.
Instruction will be given for the duration of the two hour class. However, art is not timed. If more time is required students are welcome to situate themselves comfortably in the garden to finish peacefully. Hours end at two.
All supplies will be provided for use and are meant to keep, unless otherwise noted.
Students are encouraged to bring supplies they may posess and would like to use. In this case anything that can be glued down can be used with thicker options being more ideal.
Students should allow time for photos, as the Ranch House garden is beautifully situated and filled with photogenic opportunities.
Christen Shank has been an experienced art educator for over twenty five years. Her skill sets range from culling a quail to weaving a basket. She played roller derby for over a decade and is a master potter. Originally from Maryland, she is a DAR on both sides and can fly an airplane.
