About this Event
Fem Com is a beginners foundation course that strives to give prospective female performers the confidence and skills they need to begin a career in stand-up comedy. Students will spend five weeks in a supportive all-female environment while learning the fundamentals necessary to write and perform stand-up.
The course is founded on the comedy principles of the critically acclaimed Lincoln Lodge, a national leader in cultivating and developing new comedy talent.
The weekly 2-hour sessions of this course will focus on:
Joke structure
Development of material
Finding an attitude and persona
Connecting with an audience
Creating a cohesive set
The class requires no previous stand-up comedy or writing experience and culminates with a live performance of the five minutes of material developed in class.

All students will receive an email no later than one day prior to their class start date confirming dates, times and location.
REFUND Policy: Full refunds are available any time up to 5 days before the first class commences. Refunds after that time are at the course administrator's discretion.
ROLLOVER Policy: If you are not able to participate in class after registration and the refund window has expired you can potentially roll your registration over to the next course session provided space is available. This is subject to course administrator's discretion and a $40 administration fee. Please note there is NO facility to rollover classes once you have attended ANY classes.
The Lincoln Lodge requires proof of vaccination at the first class and for all students and teachers to be masked during class time unless actively performing.
