Experience with needle felting required.
Two session class, meets two Saturdays in a row in November. Learn how to elevate your needle felting into fine art with Felt Painting techniques. We will discuss how to select and create design elements for a felt piece. We will explore how to gather colors on the tip of a felting needle to embellish and add detail to any 2D felt piece. We will explore color blending and basic color theory, as well as learn working from a photo image for inspiration. Bring pieces or work you have already started (like from the 2D Needle Felted Landscape class) and take it to the next level. If you do not have a piece you wish to make more fabulous, make a set of technique samplers to inspire your next work. We will be using felting needles, tapestry needles, wool roving, felt, base fabric, yarns and embellishments (provided).
