Our 2024 Research Day includes papers by members and friends of the Fellows & Friends Group, SHAPS. Papers will be delivered by Helen Botham, OAM, Greg Burgess, Ian D Rae, Paul Fearon, Wendy Dick, John Lack, Jean Ely, Val Noone and Laura Jocic.They will examine a diverse range of topics that explore aspects of the development of the social, political, and economic life of Australian history. From supplying the colony of NSW through trade with India, to issues of botanical importance with an exploration of the role of La Trobe's legacy as a plantsman, to the development of Victoria's railways, and Archbishop Mannix's establishment of two influential political organisations.
The cost of $70 for this fabulous day of papers includes morning and afternoon tea, lunch and refreshments at the end of the day.
Costs: $70 full day; $40 half-day; $30 student rate.
