Every year across the globe you will find Felabrations taking place on or around the birthday of Fela Anikulapo Kuti mid October. This year's event will take place at the recently opened, Africana Restaurant & Adinkra Lounge. In August, I went for dinner and within 5 minutes of being seated and looking around at the aesthetics, I knew this was the natural venue to host this event. The artwork on the walls, the adinkra metal work at bar and doorway is outstanding craftsmanship. The food, the bar, yeah it's a match. We have Enoch Raavi, 18andCounting alongside Crim Dolla Cray, and your's truly delivering Fela's Afrobeat and other sonic treats all night.
