It is common for people, even medical professionals to confuse emotions with feelings.
Daniel Weber has developed a more thorough and effective way of treating cognitive
Or even worse, consider them the same. This is a critical factors in treating psycho-
physical diseases. There are two separate but interactive components that need ad-
dressing in the treatment of these traumas. The body (soma) and the mind (psyche)
are in an interactive processes that reinforces each other’s pathology. Practitioners
must see the link to be more effective in treatment, real individualised treatments. See-
ing the degree of interaction between emotional expression and the ruminating feel-
ings can be modelled. Feelings impact body function, posture and “holding patterns’,
which reinforce those feelings. Feelings become circular; the posture reflects feelings
and the feelings direct postural and biochemical responses. Emotions are usually exist
as singular perception, they are intense and quickly pass. Feelings turn into rumination.
Emotions can be mapped in the brain, feelings not so much.
misconceptions, the body/mind’s suffering and trauma by recognising that these two
pathways are manifest as endogamous [not integrated into the patients narrative] and
exogenous [that which can be integrated]. This all has to do with brain structure and
neuronal myelation, not neurotransmitters. Trauma that is integrated into a personal
narrative; is “my story”, it makes some sense, I can understand why I feel this. The other
is unintegrated trauma, which cannot be integrated into our narrative as the pathways
to promote neurogenesis are blocked and there is the has decreasing axonal connec-
tions.
The seminar is in two parts; a brief introduction to this diagnostic procedure, which
supports both deductive and inductive reasoning in the diagnostic process. The sec-
ond looks at which products match both the objective, rational biomedical tests as well
as the larger inductive, intuitive processes. We will be able to see the process of how
endogenous traumas [undermyelated axons] can be reinforced by exogenous events
[day to day stressors] and how to treat with greater precision.
