About the Film🎥 :
Kangaroo is an upcoming Australian family comedy inspired by the incredible true story of Chris ‘Brolga’ Barns, the founder of The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs. It follows Chris Masterman (played by Ryan Corr), a TV host who, after a car accident, finds himself stranded in the Outback. There, he befriends a young Indigenous girl named Charlie (Lily Whiteley)—and together, they embark on a mission to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned joeys. Their hearts (and lives) are forever changed.
Directed by Kate Woods, the film features a stellar cast, including Deborah Mailman, Ernie Dingo, Brooke Satchwell, and more—and it’s a warmly humorous, moving, and joy-filled tribute to compassion in the Aussie Outback.
