Available at no charge, this eye-opening, hands-on experience is for educators who equip students with the STEM skills that contribute to the future of food and energy security. *NEW lessons* will be included in this year’s workshop.
During the two days, you’ll:
- Engage in phenomena-based, hands-on science labs that focus on these topics:
- Biotechnology
- Soil science
- Water quality
- Energy production
- Sustainable agricultural practices
- Plant science
- Lunch with industry professionals who’ll share their experience in STEM careers
- Visit an industry site to see classroom science concepts applied
- Take home hundreds of dollars worth of supplies for your classroom
Your hotel and meals are provided by Ohio Corn & Wheat. You will be expected to attend all parts of the workshop, including activities and dinners.
18 hours of contact time will be awarded for the 2 day workshop, and 1 hour of graduate credit is available from Ashland University for $185.
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is geared toward middle and high school teachers. The content covered is above the level of elementary science.
