About this Event
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet), through the California Transition Assistance Program (CalTAP), offers comprehensive transition assistance and services designed to connect veterans, service members, and their families with resources tailored to ensure a successful transition into civilian life.
During this workshop, attendees will explore a variety of state employment resources aimed at assisting with:
- Application Processes: Understanding how to navigate and complete state job applications.
- Job Searches: Effective strategies for finding job openings and opportunities.
- Skill Translation: Translating military experience into civilian job qualifications.
- Resume Building: Tips and best practices for crafting impactful resumes.
- Networking: Utilizing tools and resources for expanding professional connections.
- Additional Resources: Other valuable support services available to veterans and their family members.
