The Canadian Federal Election has been called for April 28th, 2025! Amidst discussions surrounding tariffs and annexation, YWCA Sudbury and community partners want to ensure that candidates and voters alike don't loose sight of equally important social issues, like:
🔹 Ending Gender-Based Violence
🔹 2SLGBTQIA+ Rights
🔹 Barriers faces by Immigrants & Refugees
🔹 Housing & Homelessness
🔹 Affordable Public Chilcare
So we are hosting a Town Hall - but in reverse! Do you know why these issues are so important to not only our communities but also our economy and collective prosperity? You can find out here as Sudbury experts present these issues with a local lens and talk about what we, as candidates and voters, can do to create change around them.
The floor will then be opened up to the audience and candidates to ask questions and respectfully discuss the topics brought up by the speakers in a moderated forum.
This is your chance to make your voice heard on issues that are important to you and learn a bit more so that you can feel confident and empowered to engage your candidates and make the best decision for you at the polls!
Doors open at 5:30pm and the event kicks off at 6:00pm at Sudbury Indie Cinema Co-op! Parking is free onsite and light refreshments will be available.
