Please Join us on February 21, 2025 for the second program in a series of impactful presentations hosted by Women of Rotary and Women United! The event will be held at Rob Dob's Restaurant in Bloomington. Lunch is at 11:30 and presentation begins at 12:00.
JENETTE JURCZYK is a speaker, author and storytelling coach. As the National Director of The “She Said Project”, she produces live shows called "That's What She Said" and hosts The She Said Project Podcast. She also created and runs a program for teen girls called "That's What Teens Say."
In 2024, Jenette was named Champaign-Urbana's "Remarkable Woman" by Nexstar Media Group and shared her story on the TEDNormal Stage. She was also honored with a “Distinguished Legacy" Award by the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Illinois for using theatre to build a national platform to empower women and teen girls.
Jenette is an avid volunteer who has served on many boards and currently serves as President of The Family Room, the nonprofit she co-founded to provide resources and comfort to foster families in her community. Jenette resides in Champaign with her rocket scientist husband and 2 young daughters.
Her presentation will be, “How We Women Tell Our Stories...and inspire others"
As the director of multiple "That's What She Said" shows, Jenette works with dozens of women each year, helping them craft their personal stories to share from the stage. What do our personal stories tell about us and how we operate in the world? What is the story we intentionally put out there for others to see? And how do we want our stories that are not yet written to unfold?
Lunch is $25 and special meal choices for this event will be:
