We are excited to welcome Christabel "Bel" Stuart as our guest speaker for the evening. Christabel Stuart is a creative community builder and storyteller whose roots run seven generations deep in Middle Tennessee. She hails from a musical family and grew up nearby in Ashland City. She is current show producer for the Bell Witch Fall Festival and has served on multiple arts based non-profit boards and committees including Historic Amqui Station, Madison Arts Crawl and Daybreak Arts in Nashville.
She is the owner of Highland Holler Heritage Arts and founder of Haints and Heroes, A Celebration of Storytelling in the American South. Bel has over thirty years of experience creating immersive events on location and has performed all over the United States and United Kingdom. She is passionate about providing relevant social and spiritual context to important points in Tennessee Women’s History including Suffrage, the Civil Rights Movement and the Bell Witch Haunting. Current and upcoming projects include original musical, SAYRE, set-in present-day Nashville at an open mic night and drawing inspiration from the Muses of Greek mythology and a genre blending EP collaboration about the resilience of being a woman in Texas to be released in late 2025.
Bel comes to Willow Oak Center for Arts & Learning as a multi-disciplinary professional artist with a valuable and diverse background along with a lifetime commitment to learning and leadership. She is excited to join her staff, board and founder Muzetta as they continue to serve the multi-cultural communities in Robertson County through accessible arts enrichment.
This meeting promises to be an unforgettable evening of history, storytelling, and inspiration. Admission is free and open to the public.
