About this Event

Join us for our monthly gatherings with the Kansas City film community!

Whether you're just starting your filmmaking journey, looking to network, or have been a part of the community for years, these meetings offer something for everyone. Each month, we dive into a new topic related to filmmaking, bringing together local creatives for an evening of learning, sharing, and inspiration. These meetings are designed to be both fun and informative, providing insights into what's happening in the Kansas City film scene while offering valuable opportunities to connect with others.

Our mission, as part of the Independent Filmmakers Coalition (IFCKC), is to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation in the local filmmaking community. We aim to support filmmakers through networking events, educational programs, exhibition platforms, and mentorship opportunities.

Come be part of a thriving and supportive community of independent filmmakers!

ABOUT THE INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS COALITION

We are a collective of filmmakers dedicated to the advancement of independent film through community support. IFCKC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We work together to restore humanity, authenticity, diversity, originality, intelligence, relevance, personal vision, and emotional resonance to regional and national cinema.

Started in 1993 as a collective answer to the practical needs of independent filmmakers in Kansas City, the IFC has evolved into a multi-layered support organization with an emphasis on aesthetic empowerment. With a mission to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation, the IFCKC has provided hundreds of educational programs, networking events, film competitions, and opportunities for community growth and engagement.
