First Fridays: Unique Artwork at Rhett’s RocksFriday, February 6 @ 10:00 AM–9:30 PM
Rhett’s Rocks, Minerals & Metalworks 1060 Central Avenue
We’re back for February’s First Fridays at Rhett’s Rocks, Minerals & Metalworks. Rhett’s Rocks features highly sought after artworks by world renowned artist Zee Haag, zeesminerals.com, of Tucson, Arizona. Zee uses gemstones and crystals from all over the world, inlays them in metal and backlights them for an out of this world wall hanging. We also have art from artist and author Francis Elder, creationsbyelder.com, Arkansas native, but current Dubuque area resident. Mr Elder works with glass, copper and natural crystals that he harvested by hand himself in Arkansas. The most noteworthy piece at Rhett’s Rocks from Mr. Elder is his trinity tree that features dichroic glass and water clear Arkansas quartz points. We also have amazing wire wrapped jewelry from Brian Hirdman, craftyfingas.com, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jeffrey Lotz II, https://www.instagram.com/jmljewelrydesign, of Hazleton Pennsylvania, and Jennifer Damrow, exclusiveinspirations.com, of Madison Wisconsin. Rhett’s Rocks also has stainless steel, cast bronze, and sculpted foam creations from the ultra talented Clarke College Alumni and current Praire du Sac Wisconsin resident Jason Scott. Rhett’s Rocks founder, Timothy Sprengelmeyer, rhettsrocks.com, is also a creator himself. The store features creations made by Tim including garden stakes, desktop bicycles and motorcycles, and functional tables and lamps. The store will be open all day, so feel free to stop by any time! We’ll have snacks and refreshments for your enjoyment while checking out the unique artworks and mineral specimens.
