About this Event
Inspired by our Land of Thundering Snow exhibit, our February Day Camps invite kids to explore the powerful forces that shape life in the Bow Valley. Through hands-on activities, outdoor discovery, and behind-the-scenes experiences at the Museum and historic NWMP Barracks, campers will learn how people, wildlife, and landscapes have adapted to snow, cold, and mountain winters.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Behind-the-scenes exploration of the Canmore Museum and historic NWMP Barracks
- Hands-on learning and creative activities inspired by winter science and ecology
- Outdoor discovery and guided explorations around town
- Interactive games and challenges focused on winter survival and adaptation
- Nature-based investigations that encourage curiosity and teamwork

Dates: February 17-20
Times: 9am-4pm
Cost: $250 (for 4 days) - 10% discount with a Canmore Museum family membership - please contact us to receive the promotion code.
Ages: 6-10
Location: NWMP Barracks (plus excursions to locations within walking distance)
What to bring: Lunch and snacks, water bottle, warm layers for outdoors, boots, indoor shoes
