About this Event

Join us for the Februrary 2025 meeting of the BOLD FORK COOKBOOK CLUB!

Here’s how it works: everyone will prepare a dish from THE AUTHENTIC UKRAINIAN KITCHEN (a couple of days after you sign up, you’ll have access to a spreadsheet where attendees list their chosen dishes.) A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to World Central Kitchen's humanitarian aid efforts on the ground in Ukraine.

Then we’ll gather in the shop and share a feast! We’ll talk through the process of procuring ingredients, challenges and unexpected pleasures of the cooking process and many other things related to THE AUTHENTIC UKRAINIAN KITCHEN.

If you purchase a copy of the book from us with your ticket, you can pick it up in our store, or have it shipped for an additional cost.
Please note: because of the high demand of this event, we will not be able to process refunds.A couple of days after you sign up for this event, you’ll have access to a spreadsheet where attendees list their chosen dishes.
ABOUT THE COOKBOOK
Celebrate Ukraine’s independent spirit and unique culture in 100 recipes from the “powerhouse” chef “on the frontlines of defending democracy” (José Andrés, World Central Kitchen).

Now, more than ever, Ukrainian cuisine and culture deserve to be known around the world. Here, Yevhen Klopotenko shares modern recipes for the dishes that best express Ukraine’s unique culinary heritage and define the independent spirit of its people.Inside you’ll find fresh ideas about how to use common vegetables, new approaches to fermentation and pickling, the delight of dumplings and simple baked goods, hearty long-simmered braises, and the pleasure of babka, torte, candied fruit, and so much more.

Klopotenko is Ukraine’s most internationally celebrated chef, and these recipes are the result of years of research into regional Ukrainian cooking. He has peeled back layers of propaganda to identify true Ukrainian cuisine, shaped by tradition, geography, and agriculture.
