February Community Bike Ride - Danville VA

We rode for New Year's Eve. Let's continue the camaraderie and fun in February (and hopefully throughout the year!!)
We'll meet at the Carrington Pavilion, near the pedestrian bridge at 9:45. We'll roll at 10:00 and take a leisurely ride across the river to the riverwalk, and ride down to Angler's Park. We'll ride the loop at Angler's Park and head back to town. If folks are willing, we can stop and socialize over coffee at the Community Market or at nearby Links Coffee.
The route will be approximately 7 miles, and we should finish in about an hour. **Dress appropriately for the temperature!!**

**Additional things to ponder:**
-This is meant to be a fun event to get folks together. All liability is your own if you choose to participate in this event: meaning that **Living Daringly is not liable for injuries that occur during this bike ride.** Think of this event as if you chose to go for a ride on your own and met up with some folks...
-The route is 7ish miles. But it's pretty flat, and we'll be going pretty slow. So if you can ride a bike, this will be the ride for you!! (You speedsters out there, slow down and talk to your neighbors!! 😁)
-Please check your ABCs (air, brakes, chain/crank/cassette) **before** arriving at the event.
-Young humans are welcome, *and* we'll be riding approximately 7 miles. Folks are, of course, welcome to peel off early if needed. Families with trailers for young people (and pets) are welcome. Leashed animals aren't a good idea, since the trail is so narrow.
-In VA, it's law for humans under the age of 14 to wear a helmet. Helmets are encouraged for all, but it's your head.
-We will have a safety meeting at the start of the ride to say 'hi' to each other, and to learn some basic communication that will help to keep us safe while riding together.
-We'll cancel for precipitation, but not for cold (unless it's extreme).
