Come enjoy a visit to the Nursery at UTRGV Brownsville with its Supervisor, Bianca Arizpe. We will walk the site to see features of native plant gardens and how they can fit in your traditional garden. We will see different aspects of native plant gardens that such as the use of brush piles, letting grass grow long for wildlife, etc. We will also learn of their work with the critically imperiled and federally endangered, Zapata bladderpod (Physaria thamnophila), known to exist in only 5 sites in Starr and Zapata counties.
