Sally Charette will present Brands in Entertainment: Walking the legal tightrope of brand exposure in Hollywood
As advertisers, we notice when brands appear in entertainment and understand that this is no accident. The entertainment industry is arguably the largest and strongest influencer in modern communication. Sally will take us on a deeper dive into brand use in television and film, the legalities behind their usage, and their influence on modern culture.
Sally stumbled happily into legal script research more than 25 years ago. She currently works on NCIS, NCIS: Origins, and the upcoming The Paper, Cape Fear, Little House on the Prairie, and Tron: Ares. Her past scripted television projects include NCIS: Hawaii, Dead to Me, CSI: New Orleans, CSI: Miami, Young Rock, Station 19, Disney features Tron: Legacy, Disenchanted, and hundreds of less memorable projects. When not mining the internet for info and asking strangers for favors, Sally makes comics, hikes, sings, and bangs on things rhythmically. She lives in a small town in the foothills outside Los Angeles with her husband and a tiny, deeply devoted flock of birds.
