Join us on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5-8pm for an interactive evening. "A Window to Ukraine" will feature live music on Ukraine's national folk instrument - the Bandura - at 7pm, live demonstrations of traditional Ukrainian egg decorating - Pysanky - throughout the night, and photos the artist took of Ukrainian landscapes and cityscapes during her three visits to Ukraine. The Bandura is Ukraine’s national folk instrument with over fifty strings. Christina will play traditional music on her Bandura at 7pm. Pysanky are traditional Ukrainian Eggs decorated using patience, wax, and dyes. Christina will be creating Pysanky throughout the gallery showing. Christina’s photography from her three visits to Ukraine will be displayed in the Gallery.
Christina is a first generation American, daughter of two Ukrainians whose families immigrated to America during the second world war. She now travels throughout New England, giving presentations on Ukrainian history and culture, giving lessons on pysanky decorating, and playing her Bandura.
