Hurray!! Story House has been re-scheduled and is our feature Act for April. Story House is four musicians who have been active in the Pacific Northwest Bluegrass and Folk scene for a good long time. Their show features many original songs and tunes, mixed with covers of great songs both old and new. Though all four members of the band sing, Jake and Maiken's arresting duet singing is the cornerstone of the band's vocal sound.
Maiken de Villiers's (bass) sweet singing and powerful songwriting have won her many fans. She contributes many strong original songs to the repertoire. Jake de Villiers (guitar) solos in a style all his own and his propulsive rhythm keeps the band ticking along. Tim Eccles (banjo) keeps the band moving and also contributes many fine originals to the band. Pete Goodall (mandolin) has an uncanny ability to find the heart of a song and embrace it with his tasteful playing.
